Dog walking & pet care

Whether your dog enjoys exploring with a small group, prefers a one-to-one walk, or just needs a little company during the day, I offer friendly, personal care to suit them.

Solo Walks

£25 per one-hour walk

Some dogs are happier walking on their own. Solo walks are ideal for older, anxious or nervous dogs, or dogs who simply aren't suited to group walks.

Your dog gets my full attention, with a walk suited to their personality, pace and needs.

Small Group Walks

£15 per one-hour walk

Small really does mean small — I walk with a maximum of four dogs in total.

Your dog gets to enjoy the company of other dogs while still receiving plenty of individual attention. I want group walks to be enjoyable and relaxed, rather than overwhelming.

Puppy Visits

£10 for 20 minutes

Is your puppy too young to be left for long periods during the day? I can pop in for a 20-minute visit to give them a toilet break, some light exercise and a bit of play and attention.

It's a simple way to break up their day while you're at work or away.

Evening Pet Sitting

£20 per hour · Minimum 2 hours

Enjoy your evening without worrying about your four-legged friend.

If you're visiting Cornwall and would like to head out for dinner, drinks or an evening event, I can pop into your holiday accommodation and look after your dog while you're out.

They can stay somewhere familiar and comfortable, while you enjoy your evening knowing they're being looked after.

A little bit about me

About Camel Valley Canines

Hi, I'm Emily, the person behind Camel Valley Canines.

I've always been an animal lover and have grown up surrounded by animals. I've lived locally for many years and, over the past four years, I've spent countless hours exploring Cornwall with my own dog. I know the local area well and have discovered plenty of beautiful places where dogs can enjoy a safe, stimulating and enriching walk.

After 15 years working as a qualified physiotherapist, I decided it was time for a change. I wanted a career that offered a calmer, more fulfilling way of life and allowed me to spend more time doing something I genuinely love — being outdoors and caring for animals.

I understand how important it is that our dogs have a happy, active and enriching life. They each have their own personality, needs and preferences, and I believe their care should reflect that.

For me, Camel Valley Canines is about more than simply walking dogs. It's about giving them the care, attention and adventures they deserve, while giving you peace of mind that they're in good hands.

Frequently asked questions

A few of the questions you may have before your dog's first visit.

Do you offer a meet & greet before the first walk?

Yes. I like to meet you and your dog at your home before providing any walks or visits. It gives us a chance to get to know each other, discuss your dog's personality and needs, and make sure we're a good fit.

Where do you cover?

Camel Valley Canines is based in Wadebridge and covers areas within approximately a 15-minute drive of Wadebridge. If you're unsure whether you're within the area, just get in touch and I'll be happy to check.

How many dogs are in a group walk?

I keep group walks small, with a maximum of four dogs in total. This means your dog can enjoy some canine company without being overwhelmed by a large group, while still receiving plenty of individual attention.

Can you walk nervous, anxious or older dogs?

Absolutely. Solo walks are particularly suited to dogs who are older, anxious, nervous or simply prefer their own company. We'll discuss your dog's needs during the meet & greet and choose the approach that's right for them.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Living in Cornwall means I'm very used to changeable weather! Walks will always be considered with your dog's welfare in mind. In particularly hot, stormy or otherwise unsuitable conditions, I'll discuss the best alternative with you.

Do you offer puppy visits?

Yes. Puppy visits are 20 minutes for £10 and can include a toilet break, some light exercise, play and companionship during the day.

Do you offer pet sitting for visitors staying in Cornwall?

Yes. My evening pet sitting service is particularly useful for holidaymakers who'd like to enjoy an evening out without leaving their dog alone for too long. I'll come to your holiday accommodation and look after your dog there. The service is £20 per hour, with a minimum two-hour booking.

How will you access my home?

We'll discuss this during the meet & greet and agree the safest and most convenient way for me to access your property. I'll only use the agreed method when providing your dog's care.

What happens if my dog becomes unwell or injured?

Your dog's safety and wellbeing are my priority. I'll contact you as soon as possible if I have any concerns, and we'll have discussed your preferred emergency contact and veterinary arrangements during the meet & greet.

Do you need anything from me before my dog's first walk?

We'll chat about everything your dog needs during the meet & greet, including their routine, personality, recall, any medical or behavioural considerations, feeding and anything else that will help me give them the best possible care.

How do I book?

I don't currently take bookings through the website. Simply call or email me to arrange a chat and your meet & greet.

Let's get to know each other
